Mikhala had one request when she inquired about engagement photos — she wanted to feel like a fall fairy! So that’s exactly what we set out to create together. We spent the afternoon wandering through the Hahn Horticulture Garden on Virginia Tech’s campus in Blacksburg, VA, surrounded by falling leaves, golden light, and that crisp autumn air that just makes everything feel a little more magical.
We leaned into motion, laughing, spinning, skipping through paths blanketed in color. I encouraged them to forget the camera and simply be together. Dalton twirled her the trees and the way they looked at each other felt straight out of a movie.
The Hahn Horticulture Garden was the perfect spot for this cozy fall engagement session. Between the fall leaves, open field, and little tucked-away corners, every turn of the path gave us something new. There’s something so romantic about this place in autumn — it feels peaceful, private, and full of storybook charm.
This was a session that I never wanted to end!
